Andreas CAS #21 (S) Learning Outcome 5

This past weekend, my family and I went down to Lake Jackson to help with the covering and moving of her plants in preparation for freezing weather. While I was initially unenthusiastic about driving an hour south in the cold to cover close to 500 plants with tarps and blankets, I ended up being very glad that we went through it, because I really didn't want my 78-year-old grandmother climbing ladders and moving heavy pots. The entire thing ended up taking close to 3 hours and that was with 5 people consistently moving, so it's safe to say it would've taken my grandmother nearly the entire day to get the job done. While I was not entirely thrilled I would be spending my day down in Lake Jackson, I have to say that I was very pleased we ended up going. My consciousness would not have been able to take the guilt of not have helped my grandmother prepare for the freeze. Furthermore, this experience did show how when 3 people are determined to get something done, it can be very easy and quick when we work together and follow the plan.
