Andreas CAS #28 (S) Learning Outcome 4

 Andreas Cantu  Last weekend I was involved in another service project for a fellow classmate and their eagle project. This time, instead of building a fence, we built benches for our school. While the idea of building a bench is pretty straightforward, this style of the bench had a lot of different parts and techniques that were required to properly construct a stable bench for the children. On top of the specific techniques that we needed to employ, it also started to rain extremely hard and due to us being outside for this project we had to make sure to move everything undercover but that did not mean we didn't get wet. However, despite these difficulties, the entire group showed the benefits of perseverance and commitment to a project and we ended up finishing the seven commissioned benches ahead of schedule and if I were to give them a rating based on perfection I would definitely give them a solid 8.7/10. Andreas CAS #27 (S) Learning Outcome 5

 Andreas Cantu  I was recently involved in a service project for one of my classmate's eagle project requirements. It took place over the course of two Saturdays and involved the creation of a brand new chainlink fence for an underserved school in Houston. While I initially was excited to go and help with the construction of this fence, I quicky learned how incredibly difficult it was going to be to fully create this fence. However, because I was with a group of capable students and parents, we were able to make excellent time on the first Saturday and left without leaving anything extra for the next Saturday. Unfortunately though, when it came time to finish the fence a week later, it was clear how much more we were going to need to collaborate in order to get this fence done at all.
