Andreas CAS #28 (S) Learning Outcome 4

Last weekend I was involved in another service project for a fellow classmate and their eagle project. This time, instead of building a fence, we built benches for our school. While the idea of building a bench is pretty straightforward, this style of the bench had a lot of different parts and techniques that were required to properly construct a stable bench for the children. On top of the specific techniques that we needed to employ, it also started to rain extremely hard and due to us being outside for this project we had to make sure to move everything undercover but that did not mean we didn't get wet. However, despite these difficulties, the entire group showed the benefits of perseverance and commitment to a project and we ended up finishing the seven commissioned benches ahead of schedule and if I were to give them a rating based on perfection I would definitely give them a solid 8.7/10. I was very happy to be a part of this project and will be very glad to see the benches in use for the years to come.
