Andreas CAS #17 (S) Learning Outcome 5
Andreas Cantu
With the second semester of my Junior year beginning, the school kicked it off with the annual J-Term. This year, however, was a little different, due to the Coronavirus we were unable to travel anywhere for any of the courses. Luckily, Mr. Roddy organized a golf J-Term and I was immediately hooked. The first week went by and I felt very good about my contributions to others throughout the week. Thanks to my previous expierences with golf, I was able to assist Mr. Roddy and Mr. Jacobs with the explanation and demonstrations of specific aspects of the wonderful game of golf. It was a lot of fun for me to be able to help teach this game to other prospective players of the game. However, while I may love the game of golf, that does not neccesarily mean that my skill matches my love of the game. So I used this time to both teach and learn from my teachers and fellow classmates. There were certianly times that proved to be quite frustrating for me and those I was trying to help, but all it took was a little bit more time and we both began to see results that we wanted. I really enjoyed helping out my teachers this first week and I am really excited to see how I will be able to help next week.
